Vision Statement

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver will continue to anticipate and stimulate support for our services, provide those services effectively and faithfully, and through our charitable ministry, seek to influence the political, social, and cultural environments in which we serve.

Mission Statement

As the charitable arm of the Archdiocese of Denver, and inspired by God’s love and compassion, Catholic Charities extends the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to the poor and those in need.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver serves over 80,000 people annually, at every stage of life, through over 40 ministries. We provide compassion, healing, and hope for the poor and those in need throughout the northern half of Colorado.

Our ministries alleviate suffering of those in crisis by feeding the hungry and providing shelter to the homeless, preventing evictions and utility shutoffs for those at risk of homelessness, and providing case management and referrals to preserve and promote self-sufficiency.

We preserve and protect the dignity and well-being of the poor and vulnerable by helping seniors live independently and relieve isolation, providing assistance to victims of crime, legal assistance and advocacy to immigrants, mental health services, early childhood education, host homes to the developmentally disabled, and intensive case management to foster self-sufficiency.

We provide safety and permanency for children by preventing neglect and abuse and by supporting families that open their home to children in need of safety. Through birth parent counseling, adoptions, foster care, and kinship care, we promote the sanctity of life and the general welfare of the young.

We empower positive youth development through after school and summer programs, mentoring, school counseling, and support for youth at risk of suspension or expulsion from school. We work with children and families to build a strong foundation for the future.
