What is the "Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC)"?

The CCCC seeks to increase the quality and availability of child care in metro Denver. The state of Colorado allows you to take a 50% tax credit on your state income taxes when you donate to Catholic Charities' Foster Care and Child Care programs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC) has been deferred (but not eliminated) for gifts in 2013. In 2013, taxpayers can claim 50% of their available credit. In 2014, taxpayers can claim 75% of any remaining available credits. And in 2015, all remaining available credits can be claimed. For more information, call Catholic Charities at 303-742-0828 or visit the Colorado Department of Revenue website and review their "FYI Income 35" publication. Please consult your accountant or tax specialist regarding your unique tax situation.

Minimum Amount Requirements: A minimum gift of $500 is required to receive the Child Care Tax Credit.

How do I donate to Catholic Charities and receive the Child Care Tax Credit?

You can donate either online, via U.S. Mail or over the phone. Please see the detailed instructions below.

  2. Complete the online donation process

Please mail all donations to:

Make checks payable to "Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver." In the memo of the check, write "Child Care Tax Credit."

To mail a credit card payment, consider downloading and completing our printable donation form.

All credit card payments sent via U.S. Mail must include:

  • Cardholder's full name as it appears on the card
  • Credit card number
  • Credit card's expiration date
  • Cardholder's signature
  • Please also indicate the donation as dedicated to the "Child Care Tax Credit"

Donating By Phone:

Call us at 303-742-0828 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

According to state regulations, the tax credit must be requested at the time of the donation, so please clearly indicate your desire to donate to the "Child Care Contribution Tax Credit" during the phone call.
