Immigration Outreach and Community Education
Since 2008, we have collaborated with the Office of Special Council for Immigration Related Unfair Employment Practices (OSC) on a public education campaign to protect the rights of work-authorized individuals who have been victims of unfair discrimination.  Immigrants, regardless of their legal status, face various forms of workplace discrimination.  The OSC protects the rights of work-authorized individuals who have been discriminated against on the basis of citizenship or national origin during the hiring process.  OSC also protects workers from “document abuse,” ensuring that employers do not illegally refuse to accept legitimate documents or demand additional documentation of employment authorization.

In order to ensure benefits to a maximum number of people affected by these issues, your help is urgently needed.  We would greatly appreciate your cooperation in referring individuals in need of legal immigration services to our office for assistance, in providing us with the names and addresses of other organizations/agencies who may have contact with these victims and by requesting a presentation, from our staff to your staff and/or clientele, of immigration law in general or the various forms of workplace discrimination.

Our staff conducts free trainings about unfair discrimination, immigration law and unauthorized practice of law and also distributes educational materials.  For any inquiries with regard to outreach or educational materials please call 303-742-4971.

Please note:  Legal advice cannot be provided on inquiries from this website. Please refer to the information regarding our consultation services as noted above.
