Rent and Utility Assistance
SAINT VERONICA OUTREACH MINISTRY - PROGRAM INFORMATION
Are you having trouble making ends meet because you've been laid off from your job, or have an unexpected expense such as a high medical bill?
Do you need assitance with paying your rent or a utility bill? If so, our Saint Veronica Outreach Ministry may be able to help.
ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE: Rent/mortgage & Utility (gas/electric & water)
NO WALK-INS: Appointments are made by phone only - please note: we receive a large volume of calls daily.

GUIDELINES TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
In order to receive any financial assistance,client must bring the following to the appointment:
1. PICTURE ID – examples: Driver’s license, work ID, Dept. of Corrections ID, Recreation ID card, etc. (The driver’s license may be from another state)
2. CURRENT PROOF OF ADDRESS – example: a bill from a utility company, a phone bill, etc.
3. PROOF OF EMERGENCY – example: loss of income, illness, accident, unforeseen expense with paid receipt (such as a car repair/medical bill) etc. Documentation of the emergency is REQUIRED at the time of appointment.
4. PROOF OF INCOME –examples: pay stub, letter from employer on company letterhead, unemployment benefits, Social Security benefit letter, etc.
For RENTAL ASSISTANCE you will need:
1. An eviction notice for the current month’s rent – all owed back rent must be paid before an appointment is made.
2. A current lease.
3. Landlord must agree to house client for 30 days if Catholic Charities commits to payment.
For UTILITY ASSTANCE (Xcel Energy/Water) you will need:
1. The bill must be in client’s name (not landlord’s).
2. Utility bill must be at least one day in arrears.
3. Total X-cel bill may not exceed $1,000.
4. Total water bill may not exceed $200.
